![]() When Friday rolls around the duo retreat to their disheveled abode and spark up a fatty. ![]() Harold is the professional one with the job, Kumar is the brainiac slacker who smokes weed all day. The premise is rather a simple one: Harold (John Cho, best known for his role as one of the MILF-obsessed characters in the American Pie trilogy) and Kumar (Kal Penn, best known for his supporting role as Taj Mahal Badalandabad in Van Wilder) are roommates. Part of the continual batch of post-modern stoner flicks that matriculate into the Cineplex every few years, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle takes the simplest of conceits – needing to quell the unavoidable post-THC ingestion munchies – and turns it into a quasi-quest road trip movie with often hilarious results. Like its most obvious predecessors, Dude, Where's My Car and Half Baked, this film about two post-collegiate slackers is best watched through a purple haze, if you catch my drift (and I think you do).
